Harbour Exchange, E19

This large office space at unit C1 on the first floor of Harbour Exchange was an outdated office space that needed a complete refurbishment to make it attractive and easier to rent. Our team was instructed at the end of summer to transform this space, as the main contractors. The works consisted of returning the unit back to a CAT A layout for the office space and a complete strip-out and refurbishment of the WCs and showers.

Creating the new office space

After the strip-out of the office space we designed and installed new air conditioning and fresh air systems, installed new ceilings, lights and fire alarm, repaired and raised access floors. Our clients recognized the benefits of having wellbeing facilities in the workspace and asked us to create a new accessible shower along with the refurbishment existing one.

The full WCs work consisted of a complete strip-out of the existing finishes, re-forming and skimming all the walls and ceilings, installing new sanitary-ware, form-wise toilet cubicles, ducts, and vanity units with Corian sinks, new splashback wall tiles and backlit mirrors and decorations resulting in a very modern sleek and stylish finish. This spacious office space is now an attractive floor for the Harbour Exchange potential occupiers offering a higher ROI for the landlord.

There was a slight change of plan for the showers as one was to become an accessible shower. This meant redesigning it as an on level access shower/wet room rather than a traditional tray and screen. This proved slightly challenging but totally achievable using a Marmox board shower system. We again tiled these areas in the same splashback tile from the WC to keep the same theme and installed new anti-slip flooring to complement the sleek modern look.

We envisioned a large functional and light office space that any business could easily and quickly move into while transforming this space with a fresh new look that any business would be proud to work in.

Another large office space that we’ve refurbished into a CAT A it was at 70 South Lambeth Road and the fourth floor at Carew House, Railing Approach Wallington.
